ABOUT

LIDZY CULTURE

A playful and rebellious take on ancient symbols with the ultimate goal of infusing empowerment energy in every design. The brand’s DNA is deeply inspired by Prehispanic Mesoamerican cultures and heavily influenced by the gritty vibes of rock ‘n’ roll & motorcycle New York City scene. Lidzy explores concepts of power, divinity and beauty within these ancient civilizations to create a new conversation about how these ancient notions would look, feel, and move today in fashion.

MEET PALOMA

Hi! My name is Paloma Lidzy and I’m a Mexican American artist based in New York City with a background in sculpture, jewelry and metalsmithing. In 2010 I developed a body of work celebrating and honoring the success and struggles of women to be recognized in the professional boxing arena throughout history. The first leather artwork I ever made was a trophy boxing belt showcasing the Aztec goddess Coyolxouqui which was portrayed in reverence to her divine feminine power, resilience and strength. This was the starting point of what has now become Lidzy: designs that talk about resilience, empowerment and the divine feminine.
